The Urban Campus is a space where almost 1000 young people from all over Latin America met to build a proposal for citizen participation from the perspective of urban youth and poverty stricken neighborhoods. It showcased the ideas, problems and suggestions on citizen participation in sustainable urban development for youth and informal settlements.

The event tool place in Buenos Aires, Argentina; from October 29th to November the 1st. With the participation of volunteers, community leaders and other social organizations.

The event recognized the participants as young people with rights, activists and managers who are protagonists of the territories for an inclusive urban development.  The event is part of TECHO’s #CitiesByYouth Campaign, and of the World Urban Campaign (WUC) led by UN-Habitat. As an official Urban Thinkers Campus, it will contribute to strengthening the implementation of the New Urban Agenda (NUA) that was established at Habitat III in Quito.
